HOA Board members and committees

Following is a list of the Settlement II HOA Board members:

President:
Alisha Austin email
The President works with the Treasurer and the management company to establish the annual budget, and with the Board and the management company to enforce violations. The President also chairs Board meetings, at which decisions on the HOA are made as well as other issues discussed.

Vice President
Nick Spanhak email
The Vice President chairs meetings in the absence of the President, and usually becomes President after the President resigns.

Secretary
Jennifer Hill email
The Secretary takes minutes at Board and annual meetings, prepares the minutes of the annual meeting, and develops and prints the quarterly newsletter.

Treasurer
Candace Honeycutt email
The Treasurer reviews financial data, monitors payment of dues, reviews management company financial reports, brings financial concerns to the Board, and works with the President and management company to establish the annual budget.

Architectural Control Committee
Don Friedel Jr., Chair  email
This committee reviews and approves plans (with the Board) for the construction of home improvements. Such improvements include, but are not limited to the following items:

• painting the exterior of the home (the three sides that are visible from the street)
• sodding and/or planting new grass in the front and on the sides of the property
  construction of any additions of the main home structure
  any other home improvement that would significantly change the outward appearance of the home
• For each instance of improvement, a homeowner must submit (in writing) the Plans and Specifications of the project to the committee chair. The homeowner cannot begin the improvement until written approval has been granted to them by the committee.

Social Committee

This committee monitors community events, plans the Neighborhood Watch Night and follow-up, brings community issues to the attention of the Board, monitors Round Rock City Council decisions that affect the Settlement II, and helps to produce the quarterly newsletter.

Security and Maintenance Committee

This committee monitors the upkeep of the front entrance area, including maintenance of the lawn, lighting, sprinklers, fence, trees, shrubs, and other plantings.
